The Shura Council’s Transportation, Communications and Information Technology Committee, chaired by Council member and Chairman of the Committee, Major General Nasser bin Ghazi Al-Otaibi, visited the Saudi Electronic University’s headquarters in Riyadh to learn about the university and its future plans, programs and educational tools that rely on technology and modern technologies related to computing and information network applications And they were received by His Excellency the President of the University in charge of Professor Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz Al-Moaqil, the university’s agents, deans of colleges and support deanships, and a number of faculty members at the university. His Excellency the President of the University welcomed the guests, appreciating and appreciating this generous visit, and reviewed with the university officials the quality educational programs offered, approved curricula, methods and tools of evaluation and teaching followed, and academic partnerships to benefit from global experiences in the field of integrated education that the university pursues, and in the field of e-learning and education General remote. He added, the university works to improve and develop its educational environment to stimulate creativity and innovation, and helps to establish positive values ​​and build an independent personality for the sons and daughters of the country, and to provide citizens with the knowledge and skills necessary to adapt to the needs of the labor market and sustainable development; to produce a distinguished generation armed with the latest science and knowledge. Noting that e-learning is a modern style that saves effort, time and money and achieves a number of strategic goals, the most important of which is making education services available to all segments of society. He emphasized that the university does not adopt a study program except after coordination with the ministries of education, civil service, labor and social development, to ensure that the Saudi labor market needs these specialties in line with the conditions and regulations of higher education in the Kingdom. The committee reviewed the classrooms and virtual labs, computer and studio labs, the digital content development center and the Apple labs at the university. The delegation witnessed a visual presentation about the university and its future aspirations, in addition to presenting its experience in using the integrated education style. The meeting also dealt with the latest developments, global and local developments, and the steps taken by the university in order to achieve the Kingdom's 2030 vision.
