The analysis is widely used globally as one of the most important strategic planning methods, assessing internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) to achieve the institution's desired goals and accomplishments.

SWOT is an acronym for four words:

- Strength: Our key distinguishing features and beneficial attributes in achieving the goal.

- Weaknesses: Our weak and harmful capabilities and attributes that hinder achieving the goal.

- Opportunities: External circumstances that can be leveraged and utilized to achieve the goal.

- Threats: External conditions that pose a threat to our operations or objectives.
