The Department of Risk, Compliance and Business Continuity was established in 1445 AH and was included in the organizational structure of the university under the presidency of the university by a decision of the President of the University, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Yahya bin Mardi is included in the comprehensive restructuring decision of the university (12449) issued on 2/5/1445 AH. The Risk Management, Compliance and Business Continuity Department is concerned with developing strategies, plans, policies, documents, methodologies, standards, guidelines and controls related to identifying and assessing risks and addressing risks that may affect the university’s objectives. These include financial, operational, legal, environmental, safety and other risks and prevention of them, planning and preparing for emergencies and crises, responding to them, recovering from them, ensuring business continuity and reducing their impact and the interruption of business and services in a way that supports the achievement of the university’s strategic objectives and the achievement of its targets and priorities, and meeting all compliance requirements (such as legislation, regulations, internal university policies, and standards followed).
