Organized by the female students of the Law Department – Section 25270, under the supervision of Ms. Rahma Al-Ghamdi, an awareness event titled "Behind Closed Doors" was held, with the support of the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Student Activities Unit, as part of the Criminal Procedures course project, at the Jeddah branch of the university – female campus.
The event aimed to shed light on the crime of bribery and demonstrate how the Saudi Criminal Procedures Law addresses such offenses. It also sought to enhance legal awareness among students through interactive and reality-based activities.
The event featured four educational stations:
- "Is This Considered Bribery?" Station
A box containing papers, each describing a different scenario, was presented. Visitors were invited to analyze the situation and determine whether it constituted bribery according to Saudi law. - "Uncover the Corruption" Station
Six objects were displayed, three of which symbolized bribery. Students participated in identifying them, reinforcing their ability to distinguish between ethical and corrupt behavior. - Video Station
Short video clips were presented via projector, each illustrating scenarios related to bribery. Attendees were then asked questions to discuss the content and stimulate critical legal thinking. - "I Reject It" Station
This station invited students to sign pledges and write the statement “I reject bribery” on slips of paper, which they then posted on a foam board—symbolizing a personal commitment to fighting corruption.
Legal Context:
