As part of its commitment to fostering cultural and literary engagement, the Jeddah branch of the Saudi Electronic University participated in a distinguished cultural evening titled "The Role of New Media in Literary Movement". The event was organized by Salon Al-Muhra at Glorial Venue, in collaboration with the literary partner and under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture. This participation was coordinated through the fruitful efforts of Dr. Noha Al-Owaidi and Ms. Ghdeer Tashkandi from the Student Activities Unit, who ensured the invitation of the university’s students to this enriching literary experience.
The evening witnessed notable interaction from students at the College of Media, who seized the opportunity to benefit from the profound discussions led by the esteemed journalist Mr. Bakr Hethloul, one of the most prominent figures in cultural journalism. The event addressed key topics, including the role of new media in revitalizing the literary scene through innovative poetic, narrative, and intellectual formats, alongside an inspiring overview of Mr. Hethloul's illustrious career in cultural journalism.
