Under the patronage of the Deanship of Student Affairs at Saudi Electronic University, Jeddah branch organized an educational visit for students and staff to the "Camel Through the Ages" exhibition, following an invitation from the Al-Muhra Cultural Salon. The event was supervised by Ms. Ghdeer Tashkandi, Head of Student Activities, Community Service, and Public Relations at the Jeddah branch.
The visit aimed to enhance awareness of Saudi cultural heritage and highlight the historical bond between humans and camels in daily life and travel, especially in light of 2024 being designated as the "Year of the Camel" in Saudi Arabia. During the visit, participants explored the exhibition's artifacts that showcased the profound connection between Saudis and camels throughout history. This was followed by an engaging discussion with students about their insights and reflections on the exhibition.
At the conclusion of the visit, symbolic gifts were presented to the participating students, along with group photos to document the event. Attendance certificates and words of appreciation were also distributed to acknowledge the students' interest in preserving Saudi cultural heritage. This initiative reflects Saudi Electronic University's commitment to fostering national identity and supporting educational and cultural activities for its students.
