The Computer Science Department at the College of Computing and Informatics is one of the leading academic departments, aiming to prepare distinguished students in both theoretical and applied areas of computer science. We welcome you to the Computer Science Department.

Due to the significant technological advancements over the past decades and the important impact of Computer Science across various fields, the College of Computing and Informatics at the Saudi Electronic University has ensured that the Computer Science Department is one of its core academic departments.

The department includes highly qualified faculty members in various computer science specializations, such as programming, artificial intelligence, databases, and other knowledge areas that contribute to preparing students in the Computer Science program in line with labor market requirements, while building competencies that align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

In addition to the academic teaching skills of the department’s staff, the department seeks to develop the research aspect in various fields, which in turn supports collaboration in research both locally and internationally. We strive for high quality in both teaching and research and continuously aim to fulfill the Saudi Electronic University’s vision of enhancing and advancing the technical field.

The Computer Science Department awards a Bachelor’s degree to students upon completing eight academic levels. The program learning outcomes have been carefully designed to provide the labor market with qualified professionals. Furthermore, the academic program is evaluated periodically to ensure alignment with the Saudi Unified Classification of Educational Levels and Specializations, as well as the National Qualifications Framework. Additionally, the department strives to comply with the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) standards.
