Welcome to the Department of Information Technology at the Saudi Electronic University
The College of Computing and Informatics offers a Bachelor’s program in Information Technology, aiming to qualify and prepare highly competent national professionals specialized in IT, capable of contributing to the Kingdom’s National Transformation plans to achieve Vision 2030, and laying the foundations of a knowledge-based society. This is accomplished through continuous development of curricula to meet labor market needs and by consistently striving to fulfill the Saudi Electronic University’s vision of enhancing and advancing the technological field.
The department includes distinguished faculty members across various IT specializations, such as cybersecurity, software engineering, artificial intelligence, computer networks and security, databases, and other knowledge areas. These faculty members contribute to preparing students in the IT program to meet labor market requirements while developing national competencies in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
The Department of Information Technology offers the Bachelor’s in IT and the Master’s in Cybersecurity, designed according to the highest international and local standards in higher education. The Cybersecurity Master’s program is also available to non-specialists after completing the preparatory program. The department continuously updates its plans, programs, and courses to keep pace with IT advancements, labor market demands, and to enhance both students and faculty performance.
