Equivalence of courses for the first year common

How to equate an English language course

1. Students are permitted to have their English language course credited upon achieving the required score on the standardized tests approved by the university, which are:

2. To have the English language course evaluated, the student must obtain the results of the approved standardized tests within a period not exceeding two years from the start date of the academic year.

3. Submit the equivalency request via the (English Language Equivalency) icon through student services.

4. The committee concerned studies the application and verifies the accuracy of the data and the student's absence rate.

Note: The deadline for receiving equivalency applications is one week before the STEP test offered by the university.

Method for equivalating courses of the first common year

The following conditions must be met to apply for equivalency of the Mathematics (MATH 001), Computer Science (CS 001), Communication Skills (COMM 001), and Academic Skills (CI 001) courses:

 

  1. Submit the equivalency request via the (Equivalency of First Year Common Courses) icon through student services.
  2. The applicant for equivalency must have been accepted into the university.
  3. The course content matches the content provided in the first common year.
  4. No more than five years should have passed since the completion of the course.
  5. The student's grade in the course must be at least a good grade (C).
  6. The number of credit hours for the course must match the number of credit hours in the first-year common course.
    Two courses can be credited towards one first-year common course to achieve the same number of credit hours.
  7. The institution of study must be accredited by the Saudi Electronic University, and private institutes are not accepted for equivalency.
  8. The student must attach a (certified) copy of the academic transcript.
  9. The student must attach a detailed and certified description of the course for which equivalency is sought.
  10. The course description must match the course code and number in the academic record.
  11. To upload all the above required documents to the university website and fill out the equivalency form completely.
  12. The application for equivalency must be submitted during the registration period for the semester.
  13. The applicant must assume full responsibility for the accuracy of the data provided in the equivalency application.
  14. Applications that do not meet all the above conditions will not be considered.

Course equivalency for the common semester (for the Department of Law and Digital Media)

Method for equivalating the English language course:

Note: You can submit the math equation and communication skills after completing the common semester.
