Delegation from the University of Exeter in the UK Visits Saudi Electronic University and Views its Experience in E-Education
Her Excellency Prof. Lilac Alsafadi, President of the Saudi Electronic University, received Prof. Gareth Stansfield, Vice President of the University of Exeter in the UK, Executive Dean, and Professor of Middle East Politics, today at the university’s headquarters in Riyadh. He was accompanied by several officials at the University of Exeter. In addition, university vice presidents and deans of colleges, and supported deanships were present.
During their introductory tour around the university premises, the delegation was briefed on the university facilities and listened to a detailed explanation of its systems and learning tools such as Blackboard and Banner. Moreover, the delegation was briefed on how the university runs smart classes, e-exams, and digital production studios, as the university adopts the latest learning systems and tools in e-education. In addition, it uses communication technology and artificial intelligence to create and deliver a distinctive learning experience.
The visit comes as part of the education officials’ contributions in both countries to unify efforts, exchange experiences, take advantage of common capabilities, discuss possible ways of cooperation, and present aspirations and future visions of both parties, which contributes to developing education and enhance its quality to keep pace with the rapid changes globally.
The University of Exeter delegation included Prof. Lee Lee, Assistant Vice President, Peter Clark, Director of Exeter Global, and Sarah Newby, Partnerships Officer.
