Saudi E-University Hosts Ertiqa Organization to Introduce Computer Refurbishment Journey
Saudi Electronic University represented by its branch in Riyadh, organized an introductory booth in cooperation with Ertiqa, a non-profit organization for Refurbishment Computers, to introduce the Computer Refurbishment Journey and the recycling stages. This corner aims to spread the culture of conserving digital resources and protecting the environment from e-waste.
The corner included the identification of computer Refurbishment steps from the inspection and evaluation stages of the computer device, through data deletion of donated hardware using "Blanco" software which deletes all data, it cannot be recovered, or software stabilization, and finally cleaning and packaging phase.
In addition, the University's staff were introduced on how to recycle computers into raw materials to protect the environment in collaboration with the Environmental Partner “Tadweer”.
