Under the patronage of His Highness, Governor of Qassim Region, and in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Health, SEU signs a memorandum of understanding with the Health Cluster of Qassim Region

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Province, and in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq F. Alrabiah, and Her Excellency President of the University, Prof. Lailac A. Alsafadi, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Saudi Electronic University and the Health Cluster of Qassim Region, on Thursday along with the launch of health projects in Qassim.

For such MOU, the Saudi Electronic University is represented by His Excellency Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Muhammad A. Alawairadi, and the Health Cluster is represented by His Excellency the CEO, Dr. Sultan S. Alshaya. The MOU aims to activate cooperation in the field of health care, qualify health workers, improve outputs, benefit from leading global experiences, develop and support scientific research in this field to gain optimal interest among both parties, and positively impact the labor market to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.

The MOU included cooperation in providing practical and clinical training opportunities for students of the College of Health Sciences at SEU by using the facilities of the Health Cluster for targeted training and study programs. In addition, it included participation in providing and developing education and training in health and administrative specializations according to the labor market's needs. Moreover, it contained cooperation in supporting and developing scientific research in various fields, especially that related to health problems prevailing in the region, and research aimed at developing the Health Cluster's performance, benefiting from the research capabilities of the other party. Furthermore, the MOU included utilizing the potentials available in the Health Cluster for educating and training students of the College of Health Sciences at the University, including theoretical and clinical sessions presented by the College faculty or qualified members of the Health Cluster. Besides, it included the opportunity for the College faculty to conduct periodic and final exams and to seek the help of the Health Cluster members. And it included the opportunity to train graduates of the College of Health Sciences at the University during the internship. They are evaluated according to the evaluation forms approved by the College insides the facilities of the Health Cluster. It also included classes and lecture halls at the Health Cluster by the Health College, according to the need and available capabilities, and the preparation of training or study programs targeting health care models approved in the Kingdom and any other programs needed by the Health Cluster of Qassim.

 

The memorandum also included the preparation of training or study programs whose outputs and objectives correspond to the qualifications and competencies required for health transformation in the Population Health Department, health care provision, and financial management, as well as starting to implement any study or training programs that meet the needs of the parties concerned with the agreement and giving priority to education or training for employees of the Qassim Health Cluster, according to the University's systems and capabilities.

From SEU, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah S. Alsaid, Dean of Research and Studies Institute, and His Excellency Dr. Salem S. Alkhalaf, General Supervisor of the University's branch in Qassim, attended the signing of the MOU.
