SEU Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with Prince Ahmed bin Salman Applied Media Academy

Under the patronage and in the presence of Her Excellency SEU President, Prof. Lilac bint Ahmad Al-Safadi, the university signed a memorandum of cooperation with Prince Ahmed bin Salman Applied Media Academy.

 

The agreement was signed by Dr. Thamer bin Omar al-Hussein, the University's Vice-President for Educational Affairs, and Mr. Abdulwahab bin Muhammad al-Fayez, the Chairman of the Academy's board of trustees.

 

Dr. Shaker Al-Thiabi, the General Supervisor of Public Relations and Media and Head of the Electronic Media Department at the University, affirmed that the memorandum comes within the interest of the SEU President to take part in exceptional partnerships that serve the areas of development and achieve the goals of the Kingdom vision 2030. He explained that this agreement aims to develop the media sector in the Kingdom through cooperation in the fields of education, training, development, and qualifying national cadres to meet the labor market's needs. Furthermore, this agreement will contribute to developing the fields of media work, especially that the Saudi Electronic University has a distinctive technical infrastructure and is a pioneer in e-learning. It has qualified academic cadres to serve this sector.

 

From his part, Mr. Abdulwahab Al-Fayez, the Chairman of the Academy's Board of Trustees, assured that the agreement comes within the Academy's recognition of the importance of the Saudi Electronic University as an educational and pioneering pillar in the field of e-learning. He indicated that the memorandum serves the field of media work through cooperation in holding media forums, courses and seminars, mutual use of facilities and halls, and professional experiences regarding training and education through joint programs and exchange of qualified cadres.

 

The agreement was attended by Dr. Hamed Al Sharari, the International Partnerships Department's Supervisor, and the General Director of the Academy, Mr. Faisal Al-Ghamdi.
