British Prime Minister's Special Representative and Accompanying Delegation Pay Visit to Saudi Electronic University

Her Excellency Dr. Lilac Ahmed Al-Safadi, President of Saudi Electronic University, received today at the University's headquarters in Riyadh, the Special Representative of the British Prime Minister Professor Sir Steve Smith accompanied by a number of experts and specialists from senior education officials in the United Kingdom.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Her Excellency the President of the University welcomed the delegation and praised the visit, which aimed at viewing the University's experience in e-learning.

The two sides discussed ways of cooperation with UK universities in terms of future visions that serve both sides technically and academically, contribute to exchanging experience and knowledge, leverage the common potentials to raise the level of educational services provided, and develop continuously to keep pace with the accelerated changes in education and training globally.

 

The delegation took a tour of the University's facilities and listened to an explanation about the Learning Management System Follow-up Centre. They also looked at the University’s experience in holding smart classrooms that provide a unique and distinctive learning experience, the digital production studios in which educational materials are filmed and produced, and the University's leading e-learning system that relies on the latest global technologies in education.

 

The meeting was attended by representatives of 17 leading British universities, senior experts and specialists in British education, and the Saudi Electronic University’s Vice-Presidents, deans of colleges, and a number of advisers.
