A number of students from the Law Department of the Saudi Electronic University participated in the international competition entitled (The Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot) held in Vienna, Austria, and aims to promote the study of international commercial law and arbitration to resolve international commercial disputes for law students in all universities worldwide, by applying it to a concrete issue, in order to train tomorrow's legal leaders who wish to work in this field.

The student delegation participated in the arbitration panel in this international commercial dispute by presenting the defense on behalf of the plaintiff and the defendant at other times in the same case, in front of four prestigious international universities: Cambridge University, Boston University, The University of Bonn, Germany, and The University of Belkent, Turkey, on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

The delegation was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Theoretical Studies at the Saudi Electronic University, Dr. Badr bin Bakhit al-Madra, accompanied by Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Assemi, Head of the Law Department, Dr. Osman Bin Ahmed Al-Bajadi, Assistant Professor of Law, Director of the Mock Arbitration Competition, and a number of students from the law department at the university: Adel Khalid al-Ankari, Abdullah Fouad Al-Muhanna, and Hamdan Mohammed al-Ghamdi.

The students expressed their pride in participating, and thanked the University's Director, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Maakel, and the University's Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Dr. Thamer Al Hussein, praising the appreciation, attention and encouragement they received from them and the words they recommended.
