His Excellency the Director of the Saudi Electronic University, in charge of Prof. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Moaqil, launched the Arabic program on the Internet on the Blackboard platform (in his new look) within the projects supervised by the Arabic Language Department for non-speakers of the university, this came during his happiness’s presidency of the meeting of the permanent advisory committee for Arabic University speakers, His Excellency the Rector welcomed the members of the permanent committee at its new session in advance, thanking him for accepting the invitation to membership in the committee, stressing the great experiences that the members of the committee possess and that will have the distinctive impact of this righteousness. At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Dr. Al-Moaqil explained that the Arabic language is one of the most important pillars that the university seeks to play its role in spreading this language in the service of Islam and Muslims and a belief in the importance of the language and reaching the largest possible segment of the beneficiaries around the world, through methods and programs that employ modern technologies. He added that the university offers two important programs, which are Arabic on the Internet on the Blackboard platform owned by the university, as well as the standard Arabic test, which is hosted by Prometric. For his part, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mohsen Al-Aqili, head of the Arabic Language Department for non-native speakers, gave a presentation on the Arabic Language Program and the most important criteria upon which the program was built to ensure that it reached all segments of the beneficiaries from the countries of the world. He emphasized that the Arabic program at the Saudi Electronic University has achieved an international presence and a global spread. The university signed 52 service contracts with international and governmental universities, and the program benefits from more than 16 thousand students from 70 countries around the world; thus achieving the third pillar of the Kingdom's 2030 vision, which is the Arab and Islamic depth For Saudi Arabia, it enhances its soft power and perpetuates its bright positive image.
