Vice Rectorate for Educational Affairs announced the launch of E-exams which will start off with the final examination for the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020. This type of examination would aid the students and the faculty to save time, effort and money for the University goals to employ technology in the educational process. It was declared by the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Alhussain. He added that by utilizing E-exams instead of paper-based exams, the University seeks to improve the system of examination. Since it provides feedback, measures study course outcomes and prepares an analysis of the students' performance in exams. In addition, Dr. Alhussain clarified that practice tests will be conducted prior to the primary time of examination. It would familiarize students with this type of examination. In addition, students will get guidelines. At the time of the examination, students should bring laptops or tablets with the chargers. The following technical requirements should be included: Wi-Fi should be available and Wi-Fi 802.11ac is recommended. The RAM should be at least 4GB, and 8GB is recommended. Laptops or tablets should be up to date with the latest versions and OS update. Devices should be tested for viruses in order not to affect the student's performance. The screen resolution should not be less than 1024x768, which is the minimum to run E-exams containing visual content. He added that the following OS should be available for computers: Windows10 (Education, Pro, Home, S), Mac (macOS Sierra). For tablet: iOS (10.3+), Android (Lollipop+), Windows (8.1+). The following browsers with the latest versions should be used: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari. In conclusion, Dr. Alhussain wished students success. He urged them to study hard for the examination to achieve the highest scores​
