SEU Rector: The New System of Universities Will Contribute to Education and Research Development at Universities

Riyadh- SPA On behalf of the University staff, SEU Rector, Prof. Almuaiqel, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince for issuing the decision of the Council of Minister, regarding the approval of the new system of universities. He added that this decision will bring about the development and prosperity of Saudi universities. "The new system will contribute to the development of education and research, increasing the efficiency of spending, developing financial resources and human capabilities, and enabling universities to build their academic, financial and administrative regulations by their universities affairs councils.", Prof. Almuaiqel said in a statement. Then, he expressed his appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Alsheikh for his effort regarding this new system. He stated that the new system of universities comes in line with the Saudi 2030 Vision. This vision promotes development of resources. As a result, strategic plans have come up, developing the administrative organization, organizational structures and performance indicators of universities. He added that this system will increase university competitiveness towards financial resources and self-sufficiency. To conclude, he mentioned that SEU has ten branches spread all over the Kingdom. It offers unique majors to meet the needs of the labor market. It also implements a unique education model-blended learning that ensures flexibility and interactivity using modern technology​
