On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, President of the University Council, presided over the President of the Saudi Electronic University in charge of Professor Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz Al-Ma'akel, the Sixth University Council for the academic year 1439/1440, at the university's headquarters in Riyadh on 17 August 1440, in the presence of the university's agents, deans of colleges and supporting deans.

His Excellency the Rector welcomed the members of the Council, thanking everyone for their outstanding efforts to contribute to the university's global reach, and the full support of students and teachers, to provide a distinctive educational environment that helps creativity and excellence, in order to contribute to the achievement of the national transformation program 2020, and achieve scare the Kingdom's vision 2030 and serve its orientation in building a distinguished generation scientifically, academically and culturally.

His Excellency stressed the keenness of his Excellency the Minister of Education to continue working in the various colleges and departments of the university in order to ensure quality in the output, and works to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of the aspirations of the students of the university. 

He praised the achievements achieved for the University, since its inception to the present day, stressing the keenness of the University and its orientations aimed at achieving academic accreditation, and reaching quality in teaching in accordance with the latest international tools and practices, to provide an integrated academic environment, serving the interest of the student in the first place, and contributing to the advancement of education and educational outcomes to keep pace with the country's trends and future aspirations.

The Council then discussed what was achieved in the academic year 1439/1440 H, in addition to the university's programs and scientific plans for the next academic year 1441 H.
