The university president launches the scientific research portal and the knowledge resources platform

His Excellency the University President-designate Professor Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Moaqil launched the Deanship of Scientific Research portal and the Knowledge Resources Management Platform in their new style, today, Monday, at the University’s headquarters in Riyadh. His Excellency Professor Dr. Al-Moaqil said that the university aims to provide all services electronically and benefit from technology, and to ensure the full benefit of all university employees; for the university to achieve one of its most important strategic goals, to be a paperless university in the near future. The President of the University thanked the Vice-President of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Awirdi, colleagues at the agency, the Deanship of Scientific Research and the Department of Knowledge Resources, and their colleagues who worked on these two projects. For his part, Dr. Mohamed Al-Aroudi reviewed during the inauguration the efforts of the Agency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in developing and renewing regulations and systems to motivate faculty members to publish scientific and participate in scientific conferences, and stressed the end of the agency to automate all its work. The Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research, Dr. Adeeb Muhammad Al-Hamoud, gave a presentation on the services provided by the Deanship to university employees, including motivation and technical services, to urge them to publish scientific papers, as well as statistics on the workshops presented by the Deanship and its future plan. Al-Hamoud talked about the policy of scientific research, and presented an overview of the electronic portal for scientific research and its database, and information about points and rewards that a faculty member gets for scientific publishing. The Director of Knowledge Resources Department Nasser bin Shanar Al-Dossary talked about the university's knowledge resources services and linked them to the Saudi Digital Library and the databases that they provide to researchers and faculty members.
