About the Vice Deanship
The Vice Deanship for Research and Innovation serves as the executive arm of the Deanship of Graduate Studies, Research and Innovation in promoting and empowering research and innovation at Saudi Electronic University. It strives to develop a sustainable and stimulating research environment through the supervision of research programs and initiatives, facilitation of support and funding processes, and enhancement of the quality of scientific outputs. The Vice Deanship also builds strategic partnerships with local and international institutions to translate knowledge into practical solutions that contribute to sustainable development and align with Saudi Vision 2030.

Building on the pivotal role of the Deanship of Graduate Studies، Research and Innovation in establishing an effective research ecosystem, the Vice Deanship for Research and Innovation work to empower scientific research and embed a culture of innovation as two fundamental pillars for achieving institutional excellence and maximizing societal impact. The Vice Deanship seeks to create a stimulating and sustainable research environment that supports researchers throughout all stages of their research journey, launches research programs and initiatives, and enhances the quality of scientific outputs, in alignment with the University’s strategic directions and national development objectives. It also places strong emphasis on building high-quality research partnerships that contribute to transforming knowledge into practical solutions with tangible scientific, economic, and societal impact. The Vice Deanship oversees an integrated system of specialized sectors and units, including support for scientific publishing, empowerment of faculty members and researchers, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as research centers that serve as executive arms for translating research priorities into high-impact programs and projects, and for strengthening applied research. Through this integrated ecosystem, the Vice Deanship strives to enhance the efficiency and quality of scientific output, maximize the impact of research and innovation, and actively contribute to building a sustainable knowledge-based economy, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
