Saudi Electronic University Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Hail to Support Digital Transformation and Employ E-Education and Training
His Excellency Prof. Khalil I. Al-Ibrahim, President of the University of Hail, and Her Excellency Prof. Lailak A. Alsafadi, President of the Saudi Electronic University, signed a memorandum of understanding between the two universities today at the University of Hail. It aims to outline cooperation projects in scientific, educational, training, and professional and technical development fields, employ education and communication technologies, and provide a training environment that encourages creativity and supports excellence.
The cooperation areas between the Saudi Electronic University and the University of Hail focus on boosting digital transformation that aims to enhance employing e-learning and training, scientific research and publishing, survey, descriptive, analytical and forward-looking studies, and providing various consultations. Also, it concentrates on developing creative e-content as it deeply matters in e-learning. Moreover, it provides training courses to meet the labor market and national development requirements, helping develop the workforce.
This cooperation between the country's sectors exemplifies building strategic partnerships to achieve common interests, open new horizons for the joint use of available resources, and optimal investment in the accumulated experiences. The Saudi Electronic University, which was established as a unique experience in the Kingdom in the field of e-learning and blended education, seeks to diversify its partnerships with government institutions to provide expertise in e-education and training and to develop its human resources through the concept of lifelong learning, in a way that achieves the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
During the visit, Her Excellency Prof. Lailak A. Alsafadi, saw the University facilities, including the Center for Software and E-Applications Production, and she got to know its objectives and the implemented projects. In addition, she met a number of students who are project owners at the Center. Then, she moved to Startup Business Accelerator, looked at its facilities, and got to know its objectives. Also, she met a number of students that Startup Business Accelerator incubates. Moreover, she saw some of the programs that are still under construction. And she met several entrepreneurs. His Excellency Dr. Hamad H. Balharith, Vice President for Branch Affairs, accompanied her during the visit.
