In line with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious national vision and the rapid transformation toward a knowledge-based economy and society,
the Saudi Electronic University, through the Office of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, continues its efforts to empower the graduate studies ecosystem, enhance the research environment, and develop institutional frameworks that foster academic excellence and strengthen the university’s position locally and globally.
We believe our role is integral to a national system striving for leadership and contributing to the realization of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals and strategic directions. Functions of the Vice Presidency
- Supervising the vice’s departments and deanships, and monitoring their workflow in accordance with the university’s senior management’s vision.
- Supervising the work of the Scientific Council.
- Study the need to open postgraduate programs to serve the needs of society.
- Supervising scientific research and directing it to meet the needs of society.
- Working to provide sources of knowledge and information to university students and faculty members.
- Providing moral and material support to faculty members to stimulate their research activity.
- Attracting distinguished Saudi faculty members.
- Opening channels for knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer locally and globally.
- Supervising the university’s internal and external scholarship programs.
- Supervising the university’s scientific publishing outlets.
- Supervising writing and translation work at the university.
- Providing research funding sources for faculty members and students.
- Maintaining the regularity of the scientific research publications issued by the vice.
