The establishment of Data Management Office at the Saudi Electronic University comes in compliance with Royal Decree No. 59766 on August 1, 2018, corresponding to 20/11/1439 that decided to establish data management offices at public institutions connected to the higher management level in the institution. Accordingly, the data management office was established and connected with the University President Office. Such offices should comply with the law, polices and regulations issued by the National Data Management Office.

The Saudi Electronic University highly considered data as national assets that must be perfectly managed. Thus, SEU has developed an integrated program for data management and personal data protection to optimally meet its needs, in order to reach maximum advantage of data, empower decision making support, and provide advanced data analytics.

In addition, DMO aims to enhance the university’s accomplishments efficiently and effectively. This is by instantly accessing reliable and correct data, which increases the chances of vision achievement regarding what is relevant to data management at the university. Undoubtedly, this would not have been even possible without the prominent support that the office gained thanks to the efforts of the university employees.
