University Awqaf Board

The University Awqaf Board is formed under the chairmanship of His Excellency, the Minister of Education, Chairman of the University Affairs Council. The University President serves as Vice Chairman, with membership comprising members of the University Council, in addition to individuals of competence and expertise whom the Board deems appropriate to include.

The Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Awqaf, approving policies, bylaws, and regulations governing its activities, and approving the organizational structure and the annual budget of the University Awqaf.

The Board exercises its authority in overseeing the establishment of companies and entities affiliated with or invested in by the Awqaf, approving the establishment of branches within the Kingdom, appointing members of the Board of Trustees and the external auditor, and approving the final accounts and annual report, as well as granting discharge to the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees.
