Vice Presidency for Shared Services

About

The establishment of the vice was officially approved on (26/2/1434 AH) after the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Prime Minister, and the President of the Higher Education Council approved the minutes of the Higher Education Council's 71st meeting held on (14/11/1433 AH), During this session, Decision No. (10/71/1433) was made to approve the establishment of the university agency, in addition to a number of other vices and deanships. This marks the beginning of a new era of hard work, development, and diligent follow-up on all administrative, technical, and developmental aspects of the university, as the vice includes several supporting deanships and active departments. The vice also represents one of the fundamental pillars of the university's organizational structure within the university's vices. In order to fulfil the university's mission towards the nation and society, the university agency plays its role in applying the best technical and administrative services that contribute to achieving the university's desired goals and keep pace with modern developments, ensuring high-level outputs that fulfil the hoped-for ambitions and meet the needs of the labor market.

Responsibilities of the Vice Presidency

  • Assisting His Excellency the University President in managing the entities that are organizationally affiliated with him.
  • Supervising the Deanships of Faculty and Staff Affairs, Information Technology and Educational Technology, the Women’s Section of the University, and Administrative and Financial Affairs, and granting them powers in accordance with regulations and bylaws, in order to create a suitable environment for producing high-quality educational outcomes.
  • Supervision and control of everything related to the functions of the financial management, contracts and procurement management and what follows from it such as tenders and others, and auditing its work.
  • Supervising the university's financial planning, monitoring the allocations for its budget items, and discussing them with the Ministry of Finance.
  • Supervising and maintaining the university's facilities and buildings, as well as supervising and monitoring its construction projects.
  • Supervising all matters related to technology at the university and its branches.
  • Working to update and supervise the administrative work methods at the university and continuously improve the work technology in the procedures to ensure that administrative and financial transactions are completed in record time and with high efficiency.
