The IEEE is one of the world's largest professional and technical organizations, dedicated to advancing and developing technology. Keen to enhance its students' skills, the College of Computing and Informatics at the Saudi Electronic University established a student chapter of the IEEE at the university. This chapter provides students with opportunities to learn, meet their IEEE peers, and interact with local professional members of the organization. Furthermore, it allows them to benefit from the programs, activities, and conferences offered by the IEEE and build a strong professional network.
Therefore, establishing a student branch at the university helps students in the College of Computing and Informatics and all students interested in technology to benefit from the programs and activities offered by the organization that attract their interest, such as the opportunity to participate in conferences, workshops and regional competitions, develop leadership and interpersonal skills, provide awards, scholarships, programs and competitions, establish a library for the student branch that contains the association’s publications, and access IEEE online services and resources.
