Bachelor in Public Health
The program provides an interdisciplinary perspective on the subject of public health in general and on the planning, follow-up and evaluation of public health projects and program. Students acquire relevant theories and knowledge of global patterns of health and disease, the formulation, implementation and monitoring of health policy, epidemiology, quantitative and qualitative methods. The program will also provide knowledge of theories and methods for assessing needs, settings priorities, intervention, quality assurance and evaluation of health promotion and disease prevention measures.

A pioneer academic program, which utilizes blended learning methods in delivering public health concepts that are recognized regionally and internationally.
Program Mission
The program mission is to imparts knowledge of crucial elements of public health practice and build a strong student background of key theories, understanding of global patterns of disease epidemiology, and skills in assessing health needs, priority setting, formulation, planning, implementation of interventions for the promotion of public health and monitoring of health policy, quality assurance and patient safety. It can be summarized by the following points:
- Offering an interdisciplinary structure of knowledge in Public Health.
- Utilizing the latest applied methods and models in the field of Public Health with an emphasis on using technology innovations and leadership methods to improve collective health.
- Building an effective partnership with the community to improve the health status of the population.
Program Goals
We aim to graduate students who are competent to:
- Communicate the basic principles of public health practice
- Demonstrate a strong background of key theories, and global patterns of disease epidemiology
- Exhibit skills in assessing health needs, priority setting, formulation, planning, implementation of interventions for the promotion of public health and monitoring of health policy, quality assurance and patient safety
- Practice in the field with high competence and confidence in their knowledge and abilities
- Demonstrate the ability manage financial responsibility and sustainability
