On Wednesday 15 Rajab 1443 AH, corresponding to February 24, 2022 AD, the Saudi Electronic University branch in Jazan held a training course entitled: (Developing Dialogue Skills). It targeted all male and female university students in various branches.
The course was presented by Dr. Muhammad Mashhoor Hamdi, a member of the faculty at the university, to provide the participants with communication skills, and raise the skill of managing dialogues and discussions and transforming them from dialectical dialogues into fruitful and effective dialogues. The course aimed at providing the trainee with a number of skills, the most important of which are: dialogue skills, communication skills, and persuasion skills. It also included an explanation of the methods of dialogue, the most important of which are: discussion, role-playing, brainstorming, and training exercises.
The course achieved several objectives, most notably: for the trainee to understand the concept of dialogue, to differentiate between the concept of dialogue and other related concepts, to identify the position of the Islamic religion on dialogue, to realize the pillars of the communication process, to devise obstacles to dialogue, to analyze forms of dialogue and evaluate models, and to represent the dialogue skills and apply them in his communication with others.
