Prisoner Education Initiative

Proceeding from the role of the Saudi Electronic University and its keenness to provide education for all, the university intends to start presenting an initiative to educate prisoners by setting up programs for them in prison headquarters, due to its impact on the individual and society and the empowerment of education for all. Therefore, the General Directorate of Prisons in the city of Jubail was visited by the university's Advisor in Jubail branch  Dr. Nayef bin Muhammad Al-Muqahwi, Responsible for managing the affairs of the university branch in Jubail Eng. Ibtihaj Al-Junaidi and the Information Technology team Ms. Maha Al-Hamdan and Mr. Muhammad Al-Faris. The university reviewed its future vision, strategic plan, programs and educational systems proposed for prison inmates, and shed light on its experience in e-learning, the use of communication technology, artificial intelligence and modern technologies in education and its desire to initiate and assist Rehabilitation of inmates.

For his part, Major Ahmed bin Hassan Hazazi indicated that this initiative is of importance in enabling the inmates to complete their studies and open new horizons for them after their discharge, especially after the university showed a desire to communicate and activate the initiative.
