Students’ Scientific Excellence Award-College Level

The award is given to distinguished students who meet the conditions and standards of scientific excellence.

Nomination Requirements:

The student must be a regular student during the academic year of the award (at the diploma, bachelor or master's level).
The student must be of good conduct and behavior,
The students must complete 75% of the study plan.
The student should not have previously won the same
The student must attach 2 academic recommendations.

Selection Criteria
The candidate's GPA should not be less than 3.75 out of 4.	Scientific excellence

Professional certificates in the field of specialization.
Patents or awards and certificates of recognition.

Excellence Award in E-learning

The award is granted to distinguished faculty members in the field of e-learning to encourage the enrichment of e-content and spread best practices.

Nomination Requirements:

All faculty members and the like are allowed to nominate themselves, and each of the academic departments also can nominate distinguished faculty members.
The candidate should be a university staff and on duty during the year in which he/she is nominated.
The candidate should spend “at least” two academic years on duty at the university.

Selection Criteria
Total activation of evaluation tools for courses.	Teaching
The percentage of students attending virtual classes.
The interaction of the faculty member in the discussion boards “course posting average”.
Meeting template standards for courses on Blackboard.
Diversity of evaluation questions in exams and assignments.
The study plan for faculty member should show the follow-up of students’ performance, evaluation tools and grade distribution.
Students’ satisfaction with the course.

Excellence in Community Service Award

The award is granted to faculty members in recognition of their outstanding efforts in community service.

Nomination Requirements:

All faculty members and the like are allowed to nominate themselves.
The work submitted must be completed during the past two years.
The candidate should be a university staff and on duty during the year in which he/she is nominated.

Selection Criteria
Participation in preparing and organizing societal activities such as lectures, seminars, or media meetings.	Social responsibility
Diversity of societal activities and target groups.
Participation in social activities held in the faculty member's affiliation entity.
Research directed at community service.
Cooperating with parties inside or outside the university in the field of community service, with a definition of the effectiveness of work and its positive impact on the target group.	Interaction

Supervision of students within the academic program or extra-curricular supervision.

Scientific Research Excellence Award

The award is granted to excellent researchers among the university employees, who have distinguished research contributions.

Nomination Requirements:

The submitted papers shall be completed while working at the Saudi Electronic University.
The paper’s affiliation with the Saudi Electronic University shall be explicitly indicated on all papers submitted to the award.
The submitted papers shall have been completed within the last five years.
The award may be taken back after being received if any of its terms or scientific research ethics have been breached.

Scholarship Student Excellence Award

The award aims to encourage university scholarship students to excel and explore their scientific journey.

Nomination Requirements:

The scholarship shall be ongoing when applying for the award and the student has not postponed the scholarship, or the disbursement has been discontinued to him except during holiday times.
The student should not have previously won the same
The student shall pass Comprehensive Examination or Viva Voce examination or obtain the initial approval of the PhD thesis topic.
The paper shall have been published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal that is classified within (Scopus) or (Web of Science) and has obtained Q1/Q2 evaluation. For internal scholarship students who are specialized in Islamic and Arabic sciences, the papers shall have been published or accepted for publication in a national peer-reviewed journal. Scholarship students shall attach the link of the published paper through the journal website (as it was published), indicating the date of publication, issue number (volume) and page number.
Papers that have been published during the scholarship are accepted, and the researcher’s affiliation with the Saudi Electronic University shall be indicated on the paper.

Performance Excellence Award- administrative members' level

The award is granted to the administrative employee who satisfies the conditions and standards of performance excellence.

Nomination Requirements:

All University employees on different career ladders, except academic faculty members and the like, are allowed to nominate themselves.
The candidate must be in service for more than two years.
The candidate’s job performance evaluation during the past two years must be (Excellent) without any record of absence or lateness.
The candidate must not be assigned outside the university for more than six months during the past two years.
The candidate must not receive any disciplinary action during the past five years.

Submission of a comprehensive developmental proposal that applies to the department or the administrative unit in which the employee works.	Job Performance

All university departments are allowed to apply for the award.
The work submitted must be completed during the past two years.

Social responsibility	The annual plan of activities in the field of community service.
	Participation in preparing and organizing social activities such as lectures or seminars during the past two years.
	Diversity of social activities and target groups.
	Activities and awareness campaigns held in the department.
Interaction	Cooperation with entities inside or outside the university in the field of community service, and feature the effectiveness and positive impact of the work on the target group and society.
	Partnerships with charities and non-profit organizations.
	Membership in associations or competent authorities in the field of community service.
	Certificates of appreciation and awards obtained by the department in the field of community service.

The award is granted to the college that satisfies the conditions and standards of performance excellence.

Nomination Requirements:

All colleges have the right to apply for the award.
