English Language and Translation Students presented Scientific Poster Presentations at Jeddah Branch

As part of fostering research skills and innovation among students, the Deanship of Student Affairs—represented by the Student Activities Unit at the Jeddah Branch - organized an exceptional event showcasing scientific posters created by students from the Department of English Language and Translation. The event was supervised by Dr. Raja Fallata, the instructor of the Research Methodology course.

The students presented innovative and diverse research topics in the field of translation, including: the impact of culture on translation accuracy, consecutive translation, the influence of AI tools on translation students and the labor market, a comparison between human translation and AI-assisted translation, and the translation of Saudi films, such as Hajjan, and their role in enhancing viewers’ understanding of Saudi culture.

The event witnessed significant engagement from attendees, with the posters standing out for their creativity and academic precision. The event concluded with the recognition of the top three posters, as certificates of appreciation and motivational prizes were awarded to the winning students in acknowledgment of their creativity and academic excellence.
