Launch of Saudi Electronic University Branches in Jubail and Yanbu Industrial Cities

Today at Commission headquarters in Riyadh, His Excellency the President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Eng. Khaled Mohammed Al Salem, and Her Excellency the President of the Saudi Electronic University, Prof. Lilac Ahmed Al Safadi, inaugurated the University branches in Jubail and Yanbu, in the presence of a number of leaders and officials from both parties.

At the beginning, His Excellency the President of the Royal Commission praised the SEU as he said "A new model of education in the Commission cities". He expressed his pleasure regarding the inauguration of the University branches in Jubail and Yanbu Industrial Cities, and stressed the full readiness to create an environment conducive to the University's activities inside the two industrial cities, and to remove obstacles so that this initiative can be "A beginning of new cooperation projects and initiatives in the future, consistent with the objectives of Vision 2030 and aligned with its outputs".

His Excellency emphasized “Since the establishment of the Commission, it has paid a great attention to education at all levels: general, technical and academic, as education has been until today a key component of its service system inside its cities”. His Excellency the President reviewed the efforts provided by the Commission to train and develop manpower through the establishment, maintenance and operation of colleges, institutes and public schools in the industrial cities, let alone the allocation and licensing of sites and equipping it with educational facilities to establish branches of Saudi public universities and some of its colleges inside the Commission’s cities.

Meanwhile, Her Excellency the President of SEU expressed her thank to the President and staff of the Commission for their efforts. She stressed that the parties strives to achieve several common goals in line with the needs of the two cities, as to contribute to the development of higher education system to increase educational efficiency and raise its outputs, to achieve self-sufficiency, and to develop human resources in the Kingdom's industrial cities.

This is part of the University's strategic plans to provide education, promote lifelong learning opportunities and expand in all regions of the Kingdom, cover all educational needs in line with the needs of the cities of Jubail and Yanbu, especially specific specializations that serve the industrial fields of the Commission. Thus, qualitative cadres will graduate and be capable of meeting the labor market requirements, comprehensive development and accelerated variables to achieve the Vision 2030 objectives.

It is worth to be mentioned that the University has begun to receive enrolled students in undergraduate and graduate levels at the University's branches in Jubail and Yanbu this semester 2022. In undergraduate level, the majors are Business Administration, English and Translation at Jubail and Yanbu branches, Accounting at Jubail, Data Science at Yanbu. In graduate level, the majors are Cybersecurity at Jubail and Yanbu branches and Executive Master in Business Administration at Jubail.
