About the Hackathon
The Interdisciplinary Scientific Research Hackathon is an annual event designed for Saudi Electronic University students to raise their research knowledge and bridge the research gap between General Education and University Education through an intensive research event within work teams in an environment stimulating creativity, innovation, and leadership under the supervision of the Deanship of Scientific Research. The Interdisciplinary Scientific Research Hackathon enhances the spirit of competition and research participation between groups and gives them experiences and capabilities to face research problems and challenges. Furthermore, participants are taught the values and principles of scientific research, innovation, planning, and problem solving through a set of public and private training courses in the field of scientific research presented by the Deanship of Scientific Research. The scientific research hackathon for interdisciplinary also aims to produce innovative and pioneering research ideas and projects in the targeted tracks and associate it with the development plans and the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
Initiative Objectives:
- Aracting Saudi Electronic University students with creative abilities in an environment that stimulates creativity, ittnnovation and leadership in scientific research.
- Spreading the spirit of competition and research participation between research groups and providing them with experiences that enhance their creativity and abilities in facing research problems and challenges.
- Participants acquire the values, principles and skills of scientific research, innovation, planning and creative problem solving.
- Producing innovative and pioneering research ideas in the targeted paths and associating it with the development plans and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
