Institutional Accreditation

The Saudi Electronic University has received conditional institutional accreditation from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation from 2022-03-01 to 28-02-2024.

Program Accreditation

The Saudi Electronic University has signed a framework agreement with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation, to conduct an evaluative study based on the standards and regulations approved by the center for several university programs. This study aims to determine the eligibility of these programs for accreditation.

According to the signed agreement, eight academic programs out of a total of twenty academic programs have been submitted for program accreditation.

Accreditation and Qualification from Quality Matters Organization

A number of the university's courses have been accredited by the Quality Matters organization. The university has trained over 40 faculty members in specialized courses on the quality of online course offerings from Quality Matters.

Saudi Electronic University has obtained the following international ISO certificates:

ISO 27001 For the Information Security Management System.
ISO 20000 for IT Service Management.
ISO 22301 in the field of Business Continuity Management.

ISO 9001:2015 certificate in implementing the quality management system.

The graduates of the university have excelled in the graduate employment indicator.

The graduates of the Saudi Electronic University achieved a high rate in the employment indicator for Saudi graduates from public universities. A report from the National Labor Observatory stated that 60% of graduates were able to secure employment in the private sector, while 23% found jobs in the government sector, totaling 83% of all graduates. The university ranked second in the employment indicator and has the highest average salaries for its graduates, according to the report from the National Labor Observatory (Hadaf).

The Master's in Cybersecurity has achieved alignment with the Cyber Education Framework.

The Master's program in Cybersecurity, offered by the Saudi Electronic University, has received alignment accreditation with the "Cyber Education" framework, making it one of the higher education programs that meets the standards and requirements of the framework.

Anthology Catalyst Awards

The Saudi Electronic University was honored with two international " Catalyst " awards for the second year in a row in the category of Change Leadership and the category of Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Belonging during the Anthology Together 2023 conference, which is one of the largest conferences concerned with educational technology in the world and a platform for thought leaders and education specialists.

Award for Excellence in Online Educational Leadership

The Saudi Electronic University received a global award from the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) in the category of leadership in e-learning. Gomori-Mayadas Award for Excellence in Online Educational Leadership is an International Award that requires evidence of outstanding transformational leadership in online, blended, and/or digital learning that promotes equity.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award as the best initiative for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers

The Arabic Online Program, one of the programs of the Saudi Electronic University, won the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Award for the Arabic Language in its sixth session, in the education axis as the best initiative for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

Anthology Together Middle East 2022 & 2023: Partner Award

The Saudi Electronic University received the Excellence in Digital Education Award from Anthology in 2023. International Anthology Together – Middle East is the place where meaningful ideas and innovations in edtech are uncovered and shared from around the world.

Educational Partner Award

The Saudi Electronic University received the Educational Partner Award from the company responsible for implementing the National Unified License for the Learning Management System (Blackboard). This award recognizes the university's efforts in activating the system's tools and supporting universities in applying best practices aimed at providing an exceptional learning experience for students and faculty members.
