Saudi Electronics University strategy has leveraged objectives derived from Vision 2030, and UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, as well as Ministry of Education strategic plan and Human Capital Development Programs and SEU resolution of establishment and SWOT analysis.

SEU strategy has defined 5 themes, 5 strategic goals, and 19 objectives derived from its unique competitive advantages through 37 qualitative development initiatives.

First Theme: Learners Empowerment

 

First Goal: Providing outstanding, distinguished education to empower learners to achieve their academic & professional aspirations.
Objective 1. Provide graduates with skills and knowledge that meet their academic and professional aspirations.
2. Improve student services.
3. Attract and retain qualified faculty members.
4. Improve the academic environment.
The university has set (15) initiatives to achieve (4) operational objectives to reach the first strategic goal.

Strategic Initiatives 

1A. Introduce programs/curricula using e-learning methods.
1B. Develop programs/curricula using e-learning methods.
1C. Develop a comprehensive system to evaluate the educational process and academic programs.
1D. Promote local and global partnerships to develop and deliver the content of educational curricula.
1E. Develop teaching, learning and assessment models and methods.
1F. Promote extracurricular activities for students.
1G. Identify skills, requirements and features for graduates of Saudi Electronic University.

2A. Automate students' services to improve their experience at the University.
3A. Develop a supportive and stimulating working environment for faculty members.
3B. Support faculty member professional development.
4A. Improve premises and facilities in all branches.
4B. Update and ensure access to digital infrastructure and learning resources.
4C. Replace study labs with a distinct virtual labs.
4D. Improve interaction in classes using advanced techniques.
4E. Develop enabling techniques to achieve comprehensive education.

Second Theme: E-learning Leadership

 

Second Goal: Build a regional leading role in e-learning.
Objectives 1. List the University in the Ranking of World Universities.
2. Obtain accreditation certificates.
3. Promote local and international Strategic partnerships.
4. Expand geographical coverage locally and regionally in proportion to geographical needs.
5. Promote the University's brand.
6. Support the production and development of provided educational e-content.
 7. Localization of emerging e-learning practices and techniques.
The university has set (8) initiatives to achieve (7) operational objectives for the second strategic goal.
Strategic Initiatives  1A. Achieve the standards/requirements of the Ranking of World Universities.
1B. Achieve the standards/requirements of the institutional accreditation.
2A. Achieve the standards/requirements of the local or international program accreditation.
3A. Institutionalization of the Office of International Partnerships and Cooperation.
4A. Expand the University's presence locally and regionally through increasing the number of branches.
5A. Support the University's brand to raise the awareness of university identity and services and e-learning.
6A. Launch and activat a local digital production center specialized to produce the educational e-content.
7A. Launch an e-learning innovation center to develop local e- learning capabilities.

Third Theme: Support digital innovation

 

Third Goal: Growth in innovation and technical entrepreneurship.
Objectives 1. Increase the innovation and digital entrepreneurship activities.
2. Develop scientific research with a focus on digital inter-disciplines.
The university has set (3) initiatives to achieve (2) operational objectives for the third strategic goal.
Strategic Initiatives 1A. Develop the University's innovation and entrepreneurship system.
2A. Promote research partnerships with universities and industry.
2B. Promote scientific research aimed at digital inter-disciplines.

Fourth Theme: Strengthening Community Development

 

Fourth Goal: Promote communication with communities across the Kingdom.
Objectives 1. Increase University's participation in community works and activities.
2. Promote consulting services provided to the surrounding community.
3. Provide Lifelong learning services.
The university has set (3) initiatives to achieve (3) operational objectives for the fourth strategic goal.

Strategic Initiatives

1A. Promote community service and volunteer work in the community.
2A. Increase University's consulting opportunities to serve the surrounding community.
3A. Develop programs and training courses to serve beneficiaries of Lifelong learning tailored to the needs of the labour market.

Fifth Theme: Achieving Financial Sustainability

 

Fifth Goal: Achieve fiscal sustainability and expenditure efficiency.
Objectives 1. Increase funding from alternative sources of funding.
2. Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operation.
3. Increase university revenue.
The university has set (8) initiatives to achieve (3) operational objectives for the fifth strategic goal.
Strategic Initiatives 1A. Activate University's investment plan.
1B. Establish and activate donation activities in the University.
1C. Attract donors from alternative sources of funding.
2A. Develop and review human resources regulations in the University for efficient expenditure.
2B. review and update University structure to ensure its effectiveness and optimal use.
2C. Outsource the secondary works to an external providers.
2D. Improve and enhance the efficiency of internal operations, polices, and procedures in the University.
3A. Use university's existing educational systems to generate financial revenues.
