the College of Computing and Informatics holds its first Advisory Committee meeting

The College of Computing and Informatics at the Saudi Electronic University recently held the College advisory committee’s first meeting, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz A. Albesher, Dean of the College.

The Chairman of of the Committee started the meeting by welcoming the members and reviewing the committee’s objectives and goals, by presenting the college and development plans, including all things related to undergraduate and postgraduate programs and scientific research, to meet the current occupational needs of the labor market and the Kingdom's vision 2030, supporting the college's efforts in enhancing its competitive privilege, activating partnerships with academic institutions, proposing new development initiatives, and contributing to the development of the educational process.

At the end, Dr. Albesher confirmed the importance of the Advisory Committee’s role that aims to develop the college's performance and its academic programs. This comes within the University's strategy to form advisory committees that promote higher education leadership and excellence. In addition, it contributes to fulfilling the needs of the labor market with the necessary and specialized qualifications in computing and Information technology and enhancing the performance of college graduates. Furthermore, it seeks to develop curricula related to the various programs and plans of the college.

Members of the Council include Dr. Mishari I. Almishari, Deputy Director of the National Information Center, Eng. Mutab M. Alqeni, Head of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, Eng. Yasser N. Alswailem, Vice President of Cybersecurity at STC, Eng. Turki H. Badhress, Vice President of Microsoft Arabia for the Public Sector, Dr. Abdullah A. Aldahlawi, Dean of Prince Muhammad bin Salman College of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. As well as two students from the college graduates, who are: Ibrahim Alfifi (Ministry of Labor and Social Development - Director General of the Internal Audit Department), and Ghannam Alghannam (King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology - Project Manager at the Remote Sensing Center at the Aviation Research Institute).
