College of Administrative and Financial Sciences

Introduction

The College of Administrative and Financial Sciences seeks to diversify the programs and academic degrees offered in order to provide the skills and knowledge that fulfill the desires of applicants to the university and those wishing to complete their studies. This diversity also helps to meet the needs of the labor market by providing specialized and vocational programs and degrees. It also helps contribute to achieving the goals derived from the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the strategic plan of the Ministry of Education. The first strategic objective was translated into the first pillar (empowerment of learners) of the strategic plan of the Saudi Electronic University, which stipulates "providing distinguished education to enable learners to achieve their academic and professional aspirations."

Definition of self designed degrees

To provide programs that support multidisciplinary, innovative and flexible.

Increasing the necessary academic and vocational skills and knowledge required by the labor market.

Expand future career paths for the graduate.

Meet the needs of the labor market for multidisciplinary competencies and capabilities.

General information about self designed degrees

There are many types of self designed degrees, and the Saudi Electronic University has relied at this stage on the degree of double major and minor major.

Self designed degrees must be from an existing major at the university conferring a bachelor's degree.

The student's enrollment in the self designed degrees is optional, and he/she has the right to cancel his/her enrollment in the self designed degree if he/she is unable to complete it.

Self designed degrees are offered to students enrolled in the Saudi Electronic University in accordance with the admission criteria for these degrees.

A student who is eligible to enroll in self designed degrees may enroll in degrees available from other colleges or departments (other than the student's department).

A student is not allowed to register in more than one self designed degree, such as registering in a double major and a minor at the same time, or in more than one double major or a minor together.

A self designed degree is not a stand-alone degree, so a student must pass the core program in order for a self designed degree to be approved.

The self designed degree requirements are studied concurrently with the core programme, so that the core program and the self designed degree are completed at approximately the same time.

All approved courses in the self designed degree must be passed in order to calculate the self designed degree.

The College of Administrative and Financial Sciences has adopted two types of self designed degrees, which are the double major and the minor, and it will be applied to only two programs at the college level, and it will be offered in three branches (Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah), and in the future stages, more types and programs will be offered in many from the branches.

There are controls and conditions for each self designed degree, in addition to what is stated in the regulations of study and tests approved by the Ministry of Education and the executive rules of the Saudi Electronic University.
