Lecture entitled: Translation Techniques "Applications Through Selected Literary Text"

The College of Science and Theoretical Studies, in cooperation with the University's Training Department, held a lecture entitled: Translation Techniques "Applications through a Selected Literary Text", which was attended by many faculty members affiliated with the college, via visual communication technology, on Wednesday 10/27/1444 AH.

Where the lecture was presented by Dr. Saleh Belhassen explained through it the application of translation techniques on an elected text that responds to all the techniques to be presented and explained. These techniques begin with questioning the text and then its different linguistic levels such as the stylistic, rhetorical, and semantic level, and explain the terms that require explanation, as well as strange, calcified, and rigid phrases, then present the subject of the text and its main ideas and control Its spatial and temporal frameworks, its author, the date of its writing, and its genre determination in terms of belonging to its literary genre. Then comes the translation stage, which is a very late stage in the stage of questioning the text and probing it from different approaches.

 It is worth noting that the university is working through the initiatives that are being implemented in its various faculties and deanships to raise awareness, in addition to its relentless pursuit to raise the level of knowledge and expertise of its employees in the academic and administrative staff and to optimally employ them in the professional and personal path.
