The basis of the study plan
The content of the program's decisions has been selected, categorized and defined through specific considerations to give it uniqueness and excellence, while keeping the basic structure of any bachelor's degree program in law. These considerations are in the following:
Inclusion of the basic courses that the graduate of law be familiar with.
Modifying the description of some traditional courses' titles to suite the developments of legal sciences.
Developing of some courses (the important courses) that will give the program more uniqueness and excellence, like specializing the course on international rules governing international trade (international trade law), as well as putting the “Intellectual Rights course" which focuses on the rights of the author which is a matter of importance locally and internationally. Also, inclusion the “insurance law" course, where the course is not limited to deal with the insurance contract as usual in other programs, but also deals with the entire legal regulation of insurance in the Kingdom, which has received legislative attention and has a special and independent judiciary in the Kingdom. Besides the development of the skill courses (item 6).
Preparing the contents of all courses to coincide with the legal and practical reality of the Kingdom, and to reflect the recent major developments, where the Kingdom has recently significant legislative and judicial developments (for example, courts and judicial institutions have been structured, recognized, modified and developed, and a very large number of regulations have been issued over the last five years). And the study plan is characterized by the fact that the course content reflects the current Saudi legal reality in all its legislative, judicial and executive components in a manner that makes it unique in offering other bachelor programs offered by public or private universities, this gives the graduate of this program an important advantage when engaging in professional work, as this feature makes them a quickly adapt to work requirements in various activities of the public and private sectors.
The program gives the student at the last levels (eleven and twelve) to choose the courses to be studied which suits his/her desires, these choices are a prelude to the graduate studies and we have to take into account that the choices are limited (choose one of two courses at the 11th and 12th levels), so that an adequate number of students are available in each elective course, thus facilitating the organization and implementation of elective courses.
Specializing skill courses that focus on the development of students' personal abilities and skills in the various legal fields: the (Principle of legal drafting) course and its various types, and the (principle of scientific research) course.
Ensuring that the courses is arranged at different levels of study, so that the courses of general nature precedes the courses of a special nature. So that there is a logical sequence in the study. This logic is also used in determining the courses that are considered as a prerequisite for the study of another course that is required to pass first, so that there is consistency and sequencing of academic methodology in the program of the study will have positive effects at the graduate level ( look at the list of courses that are prerequisites for the study of other courses linked to and consequent).
Courses with legitimate content take one of two forms: Shari'ah courses: they are those that appear through the name of the same course (introduction to Islamic Jurisprudence, Family law, Inheritance, Wills and Hold the thing to the public , Principle of Jurisprudence) in addition, there are many courses that include legal and jurisprudential rules (the contract provisions, general criminal law, special criminal law and civil ability), including guarantees in Islamic jurisprudence, guarantees in kind and personal, zakat and taxes, property and funds.
Except the courses with an international character, and the courses selected above, all other courses are devoted to the study of the Kingdom regulations, especially the basic systems (constitutional law), and commercial regulations (courses of different commercial law), as well administrative regulations (administrative law courses, administrative judiciary, administrative contracts), the labor system, as well as judicial systems and taxes.
Above shows that the program reflects a certain balance of the following courses:
Basic General Courses. (Legitimate and regulation).
Specialized Courses, covers various courses. International Law Courses.

Legal Thought Courses ( Contemporary Law System, History of Law - and Criminology and Punishment
