Introduction
Upon successful completion of the first common year, the student must have a score of (65) in the Step test to enter the English language department. After joining the English Department, the student spends three years in the department studying linguistics and translation courses. In addition to a number of general obligatory courses in Islamic and Arabic studies. Eventually, the students gain127 credit by the end of the fourth year and graduates.
The Importance and Reasons for Creating the Program
The top priority of the Department of English Language and Translation is to improve students’ linguistic competence, provide them with intensive knowledge, increase their linguistic knowledge proficiency, and increase their cultural knowledge related to English language, which establishes a constructive ground for creating knowledge communication bridges with English-speaking people around the world, and enable them to translate in both written and verbal forms.
